Leading the work of the Municipality of Coppet over three legislative terms as Mayor has been a true pleasure for me. In this context, I remain highly motivated to continue contributing to the coordinated and balanced development of our beautiful municipality, and I am enthusiastic about working with a team that includes new members.
After challenging the cantonal authorities to achieve a fairer and less confiscatory fiscal equalisation system, I am proud to say that Coppet’s finances are now sufficiently sound to consider a reduction in the municipal tax rate.
I am grateful to my employer for allowing me to balance my professional life with political engagement. I wish to continue defending the interests of the women and men of Coppet. As I have demonstrated in the past, I will do so with passion, determination, and respect for all.

Political involvement: 2016 municipal councillor - 2019 municipal
I have been deeply rooted in and closely attached to Coppet for more than 30 years. Over that time, through my many encounters and my involvement in community associations and local politics, I have come to appreciate just how fortunate we are to live here.
Since being elected to the Municipal Council in 2019 and re-elected in 2021, I have worked tirelessly to preserve and enhance the quality of life in Coppet. Building on the experience gained during these years, I am confident that I can do even more for the people of Coppet. This means providing stronger and more consistent support for local associations, businesses, and projects that strengthen community life. It also means preserving the town centre and its surroundings, while ensuring balanced development that respects our environment.
I want to continue working to shape the Coppet you love: open, lively, vibrant, and forward-looking.

Debora Ponce
Lawyer / Notary, Translator
1986 – married – one child
Originally from Guatemala and a Copétane at heart, I have been living in Coppet for nearly ten years. I have been serving our community as a volunteer firefighter for more than six years, sit on the committee of the Château en Scène Association, and volunteer as a catechist at Saint-Robert Catholic Parish.
More recently, I served as President of the organising committee of the Fête du Bourg Coppet 2025, whose success reflected the strong commitment of the entire team. This experience revealed the true strength of our community and motivated me to continue my engagement with renewed energy and fresh ideas.
A qualified lawyer and notary, I hold a Master’s degree in International and European Commercial Law from the University of Lausanne. I worked for ten years as a diplomat at the World Trade Organization and obtained a certificate in Public Governance from ETH Zurich. Passionate about languages, I am currently preparing a Master’s degree in Conference Interpreting at the University of Geneva, and I speak English, French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese.
I am confident that these experiences will be a valuable asset to the Municipality, and I look forward to embarking on this new journey.

Commitment to Coppet – Communal Councillor – 2022 Municipal
Having been actively involved for several years in the local and political life of our municipality, I am standing as a candidate in the municipal elections for the 2026–2031 legislative term. Building on the experience gained within the Municipal Council and the public services under my responsibility, I wish to continue my commitment in the service of Coppet and its residents.
During the current term, I have been deeply committed to actively contributing to improvements in the quality of life of our fellow residents, through diligent and rigorous work within the departments entrusted to me. Through this engagement, I have contributed to the development of Coppet, and this work has reinforced my conviction of the importance of local public action that is close to the people, sincere, and forward-looking.
My objective is to contribute to responsible, inclusive, and future-oriented governance, by encouraging citizen participation and open dialogue. It is in this spirit that I am standing again today, with the determination to continue serving Coppet and its residents, to support local vitality, and to enhance the quality of life in our municipality. I wish to continue working with attentiveness, transparency, and determination, in the collective interest and with respect for everyone.
Available, motivated, and deeply invested in local life, I am ready to take on the responsibilities that come with a municipal mandate and to work collaboratively with all local stakeholders to meet the needs and expectations of the population.
I count on your trust and support so that, together, we can continue building a municipality that is supportive, vibrant, and ambitious.

I have enjoyed living in Coppet for more than 25 years, drawn by its historic heritage, its surrounding countryside, its setting, and its people—by this blend of traditions so characteristic of the Vaud region. I actively take part in the town’s social, cultural, and economic life. A devoted supporter of its restaurants and local businesses, where conviviality meets excellence, I enjoy organising the Coppet Cabana Festival, hosting readings at the Coppet Museum, sharing the stage with my friends from Coppera, and initiating theatre workshops at the municipal hall. I also founded a local association called Molière Grimpant.
I see myself as a creator and initiator of projects with high added value, centred on shared enjoyment of life. The ecological transition is particularly close to my heart. This future concerns us all: it is a complex undertaking, but also a powerful driver of quality of life, a catalyst for ideas and collective action, and a source of significant socio-economic potential for our town and the Terre Sainte region.
My aspiration today is to act at the highest level of local responsibility.

IMPORTANT
We present ourselves as a complete and united team, where our diverse backgrounds and strengths are our greatest asset. Together, we are putting forward a coherent program, developed collectively for the future of our community. For it to be implemented effectively, it is essential to support the entire team—without splitting votes among other lists.
Every vote for our list strengthens our common project.
